grit guard

At this time I have only used once,but so far it has worked out great. I bought two and now I use the two bucket method for washing vehicles. The soap stays foamy way longer and the rinse bucket gets dirty. I usually wash on my gravel driveway and on occassion drop my mitt with the grit guards at least some of the grit stays a the bottom of bucket.Thanks for reading my review.

Wont fit a 5 gallon bucket and dirt really does not settle at the bottom

Well I figured it would fit in a typical 5 gallon bucket because of the info on the main page "fits in the bottom of any 3.5 to 7 gallon bucket" but no luck. The guard is also supposed to cut down on the sentiment in the water, I am not expecting a miracle and have the dirt sucked out of the water, but when you are trashing about trying to clean your washing utensil of choice the guard does little to stop the sentiment from being kicked back up.

Can't wash without it!

This item is great for washing a car. Some people use two Grit Guards but I use only one. If you are using one, and you are using thr two bucket method then place the Grit Guard in the rinse bucket. This is where all the dirt will accumulate. After washing a section, if you see dirt buildup on the mitt, that will not rinse off, rub the mitt against the Grit Guard and all the dirt will fall right out. Great product!
