Product Description

Today's wheel designs are beautiful to look at but a nightmare to clean. Especially the back side of a wheel which is usually painted the wheel color and difficult to access. This tool is made from a soft yet porous synthetic material that will grab grime and lift it off the wheel. Its wedge shape allows you to get into small areas. The handle is comfortable and molded to fit your fingers. Each long reach wheel brush is 12-1/4 inch long in case you have wide wheels.

3Be careful...
By Kevin Miguel
I originally got these to clean up the wheels on my 12-year old car, which I'm trading in this month. Looks like it cleans great! However... My wheels are all beat up, and I can't tell what they do as far as scratching goes.

Most alloy wheels have a clear coat on them, just like the painted parts of the car. These brushes will surely scratch your wheels if you use it on nicen new wheels with the clear coat. I tested this on one of the rear wheels where the clear coat was still pretty pristine, and using a 10x magnifying loupe before and after cleaning, this brush produced scratches. I will NOT be using these on my new car.

No one will notice the clear coat scratches on your wheels. So take my advice with a grain of salt. If you clean your wheels with this brush, spend about $20.00 on a good sealant, such as Klasse All-In-One, or better yet, Gtechniq 1.5 Silo Seal. These are wipe on, wipe off liquids that will help protect your clear coats. S o scratch up the rims if you must, but at least put on some protection after.

I'm becoming OCD when it comes to detailing my auto, so I'll stick to hand-scrubbing my wheels with a foam finger mitt.

Recommended for people who just want to see clean stuff - this does the job! Not recommended for people who are anal about being careful with their car from top to bottom (like me) :)

5Worth the money.

Not much to say about these other than they work really well. For the price they are a good bargain, they'll last longer than you think but they will eventually wear out.
Don't bother with the short handled version unless you are cleaning motorcycle wheels.

Combine these with a quality wheel cleaner like Griot's, Meg's Gold Class, etc and you'll make short work of keeping your wheels their proper color instead of brake-dust-brown.

Pros- price, effectiveness, quality.
Cons- they won't clean your wheels for you.

3Works well but has design flaw
By DVAB
I am using the brush on my 2012 S60 wheels. I like the fact that it is slim enough to fit between the wheel "spokes" but the problem is that since the base of the brush is squared off and flared a bit, it gets caught in the wheel and has begun to pull from the plastic handle. I may try trimming the base of the brush to round it off and see if it helps mitigate the issue.
